Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), led by its vision to become a sustainable world-class utility, and to contribute effectively to the economic, social, and environmental development of the Emirate of Dubai by providing stable and uninterrupted electricity and water supply, has announced that its new AED360 million water pipeline project is progressing as per schedule. The project envisages supplying, implementing and extending a water transmission network by 67 km in several areas of Dubai.

To date, we have extended some 25 KM of water pipelines, about 36.8% of the total, for our new project, which involves an extension of the existing network with new 600mm, 900mm, and 1200mm pipelines. The total cost estimated for the project is AED 360 million, and it will enhance the network capacity to meet the growing demand in various areas in Dubai,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “The project is going as planned, and the final phase of execution is taking place in 14 months.”
