The Department of Municipal Affairs presents Municipal Infrastructure Projects infront of Japanese investment delegation

The Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) received an investment delegation from the Ministry of Economic, Trade and Industry in Japan  and Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East Middle and Nomoura Research Institute. The delegation was received by H.E Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Shareef the Under Secretary of the Department of Municipal Affairs and number of the Executive Directors in the Municipal Sysem. 

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange ideas and experience in the infrastructure sector including electronic systems, information technology, knowledge management, project management and programming, customer services and human resources development.  

H.E the Under Secretary of the DMA said that the visit comes as a result of the strengthening relations in different field and sectors between the UAE and Japan and aims to enhance cooperation between both sides and exchange knowledge and experience in the infrastructure projects, referring to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision which aims to invest in infrastructure and achieve economic sustainable development and economic diversification and at the same time enhancing business partnership between government and private sector.

During the meeting, the DMA and the Emirate’s Municipalities, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality and Western Region Municipality presented different kinds of projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi focusing on the importance of these projects and the business opportunities represent to foreign and private sector investors.
