Danube BUILDMART bags two prestigious categories in latest edition of ‘Images Retail ME Awards 2011’

Danube BUILDMART, the retail arm of leading buildings materials supplier, Danube Building Materials, a leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, won two awards during this year’s edition of the ‘Images Retail ME Awards 2011,’ which was held recently at the Meydan Hotel. BUILDMART was named ‘Most Admired Retail Professional of the Year’ and ‘Most Admired Retailer-Home & Office Improvement.’ H E Mohamed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz, Undersecretary, UAE Ministry of Economy was the Guest of Honor during the ceremonies. The first award, ‘Most Admired Retail Professional of the Year,’ was presented to Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman, Danube Group by Rashid Doleh, Executive Director, Dalma Mall, while the second award, ‘Most Admired Retailer-Home & Office Improvement,’ was presented to Rizwan Sajan and Adel Sajan, Director, Danube BUILDMART by Mohammad Abdullah, Managing Director for Media Cluster, Dubai Media City.

The ‘Images Retail ME Awards 2011’ aims to recognize the top performing retailers and retail practices in the Middle East region and rewards excellence across retail categories. The event is positioned as the most prestigious event of its kind in the region’s retail calendar and helps set benchmarks and best practices that make the Middle East a vibrant retail destination. BUILDMART was recognized for its creditworthy performance last year and its move to introduce strategic innovations and initiatives that helped position the company as a leading retail institution for the Middle East.
