Dannii Minogue welcomed by Etihad Airways’ grid girls
Dannii Minogue, the famous Australian television personality, fashion designer, singer, actress and author, visited Etihad Airways’ Headquarters in Abu Dhabi today to see the airline’s new “grid girls” and thank the cabin crew who take care of her on frequent flights.
As title sponsor of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, taking place this weekend, the airline provides more than 50 cabin crew grid girls, supporting all motorsport events at the circuit throughout the event. This year, the aptly-named grid girls will sport redesigned uniforms mimicking those of Formula 1 pit crews.
Receiving a sneak peek of the new uniforms, Dannii said: “They are eye-catching, unique and very tastefully done. They are everything I would expect from Etihad Airways.”
Dannii proceeded to Etihad Airways Training Academy, where she spoke with a number of cabin crew attending training courses.
“I am proud to be Global Ambassador for Etihad Airways because it is truly a world-class airline. I fly regularly between my home in Melbourne and my fashion business in London, and I am always impressed by the personalized service, warmth and genuine interest of the cabin crew in attending to their guests.”
