Damas organizes wellness camp for its employees

Damas, the Middle East’s leading international jewellery and watch retailer, has recently (January 06, 2012) organized a medical and dental check-up activity for more than 200 employees at its head office at Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai.

The initiative of Damas Cares, called ‘Welness Camp,’ included random blood glucose and serum cholesterol tests, body mass index (BMI) calculations, and blood pressure readings. It was conducted by Dr. Sunny Medical Centre.

Random blood glucose is used to diagnose diabetes which is a prevalent health problem in the region, while the serum cholesterol test is very important for a person to know if he or she is at risk for a heart attack or stroke.
