CTA announces the winners for Toyota’s Dream Car Art Contest in the Kingdom

Following the participation of several public and private schools in the Kingdom and over a four month period of excitement, Central Trade and Auto Company (CTA), the exclusive dealer for Toyota, Lexus and Hino vehicles in the Kingdom, announced the names of the winning children in the national contest; the 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. The winners have also been qualified to the global 2012 contest in Japan with a chance of winning a trip with their parents to visit Toyota’s head quarters in Japan.

An honorary ceremony to award the children with the most original and creative drawings on each category, was held in CTA showroom in Mecca Street. Winners of under ten years category were Qasem Ameed Al-Ramahi and Lana Ahmad Nayef Al-Atoom from Itihad school, Taymoor Al Nather from Modern Montessori school (M.M.S), Lara Imad Oti from Islamic Scientific College, and Farah Ashraf Saleem Ayyad from The Ahliyyah School for Girls (A.S.G.).

As for the 10-12 years age category, the names were; Abdullah Saed Tabarra from Al-Radwan Schools, Nora Darras, Hiba Jarrah from M.M.S, Dina Akasheh from National Orthodox School (N.O.S), Haya Salah AlDin Abu-Teen from Itihad Schools, and Reef Makhamreh from C.M.S. Finally, and for the last category of children aged between 13-15 years old, the winners were Afnan Al-Baz, Dalia Fayam and Fatima Tareq Abdulazeez Khayyat from Al-Radwan Schools, Hala Zoubaie from N.O.S, Dana Abu-Ghdaib from C.M.S, and Husam Nasser Abu AlKhair from Jerash Al-Ahliyyah School.   

The ceremony was attended by several members of CTA’s management and employees, the winning children and their parents, as well as few representatives from the participating schools. Winners were awarded with certificates and valuable prizes ranging from laptops, to iPod Nanos, to digital cameras, in appreciation of their efforts and encouragement of their talents.

“This contest falls under our CSR umbrella, in which we aspire through it to elevate with our children’s artistic talents, developing their creative and intellectual skills, as well as encourage them to adopt the value of distinction through providing such an opportunity to excel in a challenge,” commented Nadim Haddad, Marketing Manager at CTA.

Haddad added, “We congratulate each of the winning children and wish them to continue in pursuing their dreams to succeed in their future lives, hoping they win in the final world contest.”

The contest which was open to all schools’ students and children under the age of fifteen in the Kingdom, aims to showcase the artistic talents and imaginations in drawing the car of the future among the participants. CTA has invited more than 40 private schools as well as all public schools under Madrasati initiative to take part in the contest. The contest calls participating children to use their imagination in drawing pictures of their – “dream cars.
