Crowne Plaza Amman hosts “Al Sununu” children’s choir

Crowne Plaza Amman is always keen on showing its continuous support of members of the local communities in their activities and initiatives, which is why it gladly hosted the unique event of “Al Sununu” Palestinian children’s choirs satellite concert.

“Al Sununu” Children’s Choir is a three years pilot project that aims to give access to basic music education to refugee children and unite them via traditional music to become one voice and thus creating solidarity.

23 choirs made of Palestinian refugee children in five major cities- Amman (at Crowne Plaza Amman), Beirut, Damascus, Bethlehem and Gaza- performed simultaneously via satellite to create a single concert of their traditional music. The choirs combined include over 700 children aged between 4 and 13, and sang famous well-known songs from their common heritage, as if they were together in one location.

Guest of honor for the choir in Jordan was the renowned actor Nabil Sawalha.
