Concorde Fujairah, a luxury accommodation in the heart of the city, hosted the stay of Farouk Al-Zoman, the first Saudi to climb Mt Everest, the world’s highest peak, when he visited the UAE to deliver a motivational address at a forum titled “Creativity & Self Discovery” on 19th September in Kalba.

A trained mountaineer, Al-Zoman climbed the summit of Everest in 2008 and placed the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia there. He is also the first Muslim in history to raise the Holy Qura’an and the call to prayer from the top of an oriented platform message to the world that Islam is a religion of mercy and dialogue.

A prominent speaker in the field of motivation and self-development, Al-Zoman provided motivation and inspiration to help the citizens of Kalba discover their talents and achieve their personal goals. The forum organized by Sharjah Tatweer Forum was held under the patronage of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Director of the Ruler's Office in Kalba.

Mohamed Fekry, General Manager, Concorde Fujairah Hotel, said: “We are very honoured to welcome Farouk Al-Zoman to our property and host his stay. His experience inspires us all and I hope the citizens of Kalba and those who listened to his speeches will be motivated and inspired to reach their goals.”
