Concorde chefs bag awards at the 2nd East Coast Culinary and Cocktail Competition

Chefs from Concorde by Mourouj Fujairah, a luxury accommodation in the heart of the city, bagged two gold and three bronze medals at the recent East Coast Culinary and Cocktail Competition, an annual competition for young culinary chefs from East Coast.

Now on its second year, the culinary event showcased the different culinary skills of chefs from several properties in the East Coast. Concorde’s Demi Chef De Partie Glen Redison Pascual emerged top winner in the Individual Pastry Static category, receiving a gold medal for his entry “Dessert Symphony,” a combination of Eastern and Western desserts.

Another gold medal winner is Arabic Pastry Chef Mazen Saleh Darklt for the Individual Arabic Pastry Static category. His creation of assorted Arabic sweets named as “Gulf Fantasy” earned him the award. Commis Chefs Bhim Sen Gaha, Bhuban Giri and Reynold Hernandez each received a bronze medal in their respective categories namely Individual Arabic Dish Static, Individual Fish/Seafood Static and Individual Meat/Lamb Static.

The competition, held at Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort, brought together young chefs from East Coast to showcase their culinary skills by competing in eleven categories.
