CIMA celebrates record-breaking year and strengthens GCC presence

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced record growth figures for 2012 as the institute’s global footprint continues to expand. Over 29,000 new students joined CIMA last year, taking the total population of students and members to over 200,000. 

CIMA, the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, enjoyed massive growth in new and emerging markets. In the United Arab Emirates, the CIMA population increased by 30 percent, attracting both students and business & finance professional from across varied sectors ranging from retail, telecoms, construction, etc. 

Furthermore, CIMA has expanded its presence across the GCC region by signing employers from the public and private sectors for its CIMA Training Partners program. CIMA Training Partner is a global status awarded to employers who are committed to developing their team’s relevant skills. It is a prestigious title for employers to display externally and internally and assures the employer’s clients on the strong business ethics and practices followed.
