Family brunch and bazaar at the Capital Club
The Capital Club Dubai hummed with the sounds of contented diners and children’s laughter this past Friday, 18 May, as it opened its doors to the families of Members and guests for a Family Brunch.
Bill Loveday, Capital Club General Manager, commented, “It is wonderful to see our Members enjoying the Club’s hospitality with their families, and friends in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are looking forward to the Family Brunch once again becoming a standing engagement on our calendar.”
A beautiful brunch was served with food stations to delight all tastes and ages, and for the children the day’s fun was doubled with a chocolate cooking class with Executive Chef Cyrille and Pastry Chef, Mimin. The two-hour class had the kids making chocolate truffles, chocolate mousse, florentines, and more, and judging by the number of delighted chocolate smudged smiles that were seen returning to their parents the class could only be branded a resounding success.
The Club’s Executive Chef, Cyrille Troesch remarked, “Watching the sheer joy of the children as they got to experience the totality of the process involved with making their sweet treats was utterly infectious, and a great time was had by all.”
The adults were not forgotten either as an expertly put together Bazaar packed full of beautiful designer objects gave them the opportunity to put their carefully honed retail skills to the test. The exhibitors at the bazaar included names such as the jewellery designers Zainab Iskandar and Nayri Estepanian, Kalimat Collection Designer, Hind Saeed, cake professional Sarah Kadhim, art collector, Malath Al- Hashimi, and The Wedding Venue’s Dinah Salah and Dana Khayat.
Altogether this first instalment for 2012 of the Club’s Family Brunch was a great day out for everyone and a wonderful chance for families and friends to spend a relaxed day of quality time together.
