Burgan Bank Concludes its Campaigns Carried Out During the Holy Month of Ramadan and Joyous Eid Al-Fitr, Reaffirming its Commitment to the Nation and its Community Despite the Exceptional Circumstances

Amid the exceptional circumstances that reshaped the priorities for community engagement, Burgan Bank concluded its 2026 Ramadan campaign and Eid Al-Fitr initiatives, reaffirming its continued commitment to its national role and responsibility toward society.

While the Bank organized a number of initiatives and events at the beginning of the holy month, it postponed some of its traditional annual activities and gatherings that typically take place during the second half of the month, in tune with current developments and out of concern for everyone’s safety. This Bank further expressed its deep appreciation for the dedication of the nation’s protectors and frontline personnel and reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting the community and strengthening a spirit of national unity and solidarity.

Spanning the full month, the campaign delivered a wide range of initiatives that engaged diverse segments of society and aimed at strengthening social and cultural connections, guided by Burgan Bank’s comprehensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework, as well as its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability pillars.

This year’s campaign offered a diverse range of programs, including humanitarian, awareness, and cultural programs, as well as promoted financial literacy, preserving Kuwait’s rich heritage, reinforcing the values of the holy month, and upholding the Bank’s commitment to adding value that goes beyond the scope of traditional banking and extends to its role as a responsible and active community partner.

As part of its community initiatives, Burgan Bank distributed Ramadan food baskets and provided Iftar meals across multiple areas in Kuwait, in collaboration with Kuwait Food Bank and with the voluntary participation of employees and their families. The initiative aimed to foster a culture of giving while encouraging social responsibility and community engagement among younger generations.

Ramadan TVC

The Bank also launched its Ramadan campaign, “Thank You for the Challenge,” which carried a meaningful message centered on resilience and the ability to grow through challenges, portraying the Bank’s commitment to creating purposeful and value-driven content that reflects societal values and promotes positive awareness. The TVC was met with enthusiasm, garnering over 20 million views within a brief period.

Postponing Gargee’an Celebrations

In light of the current circumstances, traditional Gargee’an celebrations were postponed to ensure the safety of children and the wider community, in adherence to the official guidelines. Nevertheless, the Bank preserved the spirit of this cultural tradition by sharing digital content that highlighted the significance of Gargee’an within Kuwaiti heritage and proposed celebration ideas that align with the nation-wide safe protocols. Meanwhile, the Bank celebrated internally with its employees by distributing Gargee’an amongst its staff, in an initiative that captures its commitment to preserving the Ramadan atmosphere and promoting a spirit of participation and belonging within the work environment.

Contact Center Iftar

Burgan Bank also hosted a dedicated Iftar gathering for its Contact Center team, recognizing their ongoing efforts and commitment to maintaining seamless customer service through shift-based operations. This initiative comes as part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of appreciation, collaboration, and team spirit across the organization, reflecting its institutional philosophy and embodying the standards that earned Burgan Bank the Great Place to Work® certification.

Social Media Digital Awareness Content

Throughout Ramadan, the Bank strengthened its digital presence by delivering a range of awareness content across its social media platforms, addressing key topics related to public safety, preventive behaviors, and community awareness in a clear and accessible manner, particularly under the prevailing circumstances.

Financial Literacy and “Let’s Be Aware” Campaign

In line with its commitment to financial literacy, Burgan Bank continued to support the “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) campaign – launched and supervised by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) with the support of Kuwaiti banks – by integrating awareness messages in its initiatives and digital presence, focusing on fraud risks and prevention methods, and contributing to enhancing financial awareness across the community.

Collaboration with Kuwait Fire Force

The Bank also collaborated with the Kuwait Fire Force to deliver awareness content focused on fire safety, particularly risks associated with electrical overloads and household hazards, as well as emergency response and prevention measures—highlighting the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in promoting community safety.

Blood Donation Campaign

As part of its national responsibility, Burgan Bank organized a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank with the participation of employees, supporting national efforts to maintain blood supply levels and contributing to saving lives—especially under the current circumstances.

Eid Al-Fitr

With the ending of the holy month, Burgan Bank extended its warmest wishes, praying for continued goodness and well-being for all, and for the State of Kuwait—its leadership and people—to enjoy lasting security, stability, and peace. To this end, the Bank launched a heart-warming social and mass media advertisement in collaboration with Kuwaiti icon Lulwa Al-Mulla, capturing its solidarity with its community during this time of collective distress people across Kuwait are experiencing, and highlighting that the most valuable gift during Eid is to see the country prosperous and stable and its people physically and emotionally safe. The advertisement reached 600,000 viewers shortly after its release, marking widescale engagement across society.

Mother’s Day

Burgan Bank also celebrated Mother’s Day with a special video posted on social media platforms entitled: “Mother is the safety and the prayer that precedes us in every step,” confirming the Bank’s appreciation for the pivotal role of mothers in society and reflecting its commitment to strengthening human bonds and consolidating societal values in line with its institutional promise to remain “Driven by You.”

Through these comprehensive Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr programs, Burgan Bank continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable impact through initiatives that respond to evolving community needs and reinforce its role as a responsible financial institution.
