Brocade today announced that it has added a number of industry veterans to its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sales leadership team, to enable the company to scale up its operations throughout the region.

With the worldwide enterprise network infrastructure market set to hit $55.2 billion by 20151, these appointments mark a further step in Brocade executing on its business initiatives to grow its Ethernet business worldwide, and enable customers to transition smoothly to a world where information and applications reside, and can be accessed, anywhere.

The new appointments include:

Manu Bonnassie, Regional Sales Director - Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA)

Leveraging partnerships with organizations such as OCS (Russia/CIS) and Westcon (Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates), and building on a customer portfolio that includes names such as TiERA, RuTube, Al Nahdi Medical Company (NMC), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and Saudi Economic and Development Holding Company (SEDCO), Bonnassie will be responsible for leading one of Brocade’s largest EMEA geographical territories, driving sales revenue, scaling the local organization and partner expansion across the region.  Prior to this role, he held several international positions within a four year tenure at Brocade, most recently as Regional Sales Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland where he achieved strong double digit growth, captured market share as well as key lighthouse accounts. He also served as EMEA Strategic Business Development Director during the same period

Amar Wadjih, Regional Sales Manager – Saudi Arabia

Wadjih will spearhead Brocade’s growing presence in The Kingdom and oversee a targeted partner recruitment strategy.  Prior to joining Brocade, Wadjih held senior sales leadership roles within Computer Associates (overseeing the METNA and Saudi Arabia sales teams) and Sun Microsystems (leading Saudi Arabian sales) over a career spanning more than 25 years.

“The way modern enterprises are conducting business today, and the huge volumes of data being generated, is impacting networking strategies irreversibly,” said Alberto Soto, vice president – EMEA at Brocade. “As a company, we are committed to helping our customers reduce infrastructure complexity and cost (as highlighted at our recently held Technology Day) and leverage the evolution of fabric-based technologies to better cope with today’s capacity demands.  I am delighted to announce, therefore, that we have added depth and further expertise to our EMEA sales leadership bench.  Their considerable, proven experience in IP sales and services will be invaluable in helping us taking the next steps forward to continue building and growing our EMEA business”.
