Boursa Kuwait Continues its Efforts to Strengthen Investor Relations in Kuwait Capital Market

Boursa Kuwait hosted specialized workshops on targeting and communicating with investors, as part of the activities of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MERI) and its Kuwait Branch On Wednesday, November 19.

The meeting was attended by a group of investor relations specialists and financial market experts from Kuwait and the region, who discussed the most prominent developments in the field of targeting investors and enhancing their interaction, and the importance of transparency in the Supporting investor confidence and attracting capital.

The event included welcome speeches by Mr. Fahad Al-Bishr, Head of Investor Relations at Boursa Kuwait, Mr. Reda Iftekhari, CEO of the Middle East Investor Relations Association, and Mr. Mohammed Abdul, President of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MER) in Kuwait.

During the workshops, Ms. Farah Ezzou, Head of Exporter Services at S&P Global Market Intelligence, andMr. John Gulliver, CEO of the GCC Corporate Boards Institute Al khaliji highlighted recent trends in this field and put forward practical mechanisms to build effective communication with the international investment community, while emphasizing the importance of consistency and clarity in disclosure and governance to support the attractiveness and sustainability of the market. These workshops were an opportunity to deepen understanding of best practices. and keep pace with the global transformations affecting the investor relations sector.

On this occasion, Mr. Fahad Al-Bishr, Head of Investor Relations at Boursa Kuwait, said: "Tawasul Boursa Kuwait is committed to promoting a culture of transparency and disclosure among listed companies, based on its belief that investor relations is a key pillar for developing capital markets and attracting quality investments. As part of its ongoing efforts to increase transparency in the Kuwaiti capital market, raise awareness and adopt international best practices, Boursa Kuwait has issued the Investor Relations Best Practices Guide, which aims to provide companies with the best practices of the Investor Relations Manual. Listed with the knowledge and key strategies to enhance effective communication, develop governance, and improve communication between listed companies and key stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and regulators.

This meeting comes as part of the strategic partnership between Boursa Kuwait and the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MERI), which has been extended since 2017, which aims to consolidate the best standards and practices in investor relations. Enabling listed companies to develop effective systems for communicating with investors, in a way that contributes to the development of the Kuwaiti capital market and enhances its position regionally and internationally.

Mr. Mohammed Abdul, President of the Society's Kuwait Chapter, added: "The Middle East Investor Relations Association and its Kuwait Branch are keen to enhance communication between the investor relations community in Kuwait and the region, and keep pace with the latest trends in global markets, with the aim of enhancing Competitiveness of Companies Listed in Kuwait's capital market, and consolidating its position within the international investment community."
