Biolab offers special “Biomarital” package for engaged and soon-to-wed couples

Through Biolab’s “Biomarital” diagnostic package, couples can test for a wide range of genetic and communicable diseases that can potentially be transmitted from one party to the other, or to their future children.

With the Biomarital package, prospective married couples can screen for an extensive variety of genetic and blood-transmitted disorders, allowing them to minimize the risk of passing these conditions and diseases on to their children. The tests, which are certified by the Ministry of Health and conducted on both males and females, include screenings for conditions like sickle cell anemia, Beta Thalassemia, Hepatitis, HIV, Rubella, and much more. The package even includes testing for an array of hemoglobinopathies, or blood disorders, which are especially prevalent in consanguineous marriages (currently comprising around one-third of all Jordanian marriages).
