Biolab calls for controlling diabetes and offers 40% discount on its tests

Biolab, the leading accredited diagnostic laboratories in the Kingdom, offering more than 700 medical diagnostic services accredited by the Ministry of Health, the International Joint Commission and the Jordanian Accreditation Systems (JAS), ISO 15189, has launched a campaign to raise awareness on controlling diabetes by offering 40% discount on all diabetes related tests starting November 14th and lasting for one whole month in all Biolab’s branches in Amman and Irbid.  

The tests included in the discounted offer are; Cumulative Blood Sugar Test (HbA1c), Micro-albumin Urine Test and the Fasting Blood Sugar Test. The Biolab campaign entitled “Control Diabetes” coincided with the World Diabetes Day which is held on November 14th of every year.

The CEO and Founder of Biolab Dr. Amid Abdelnour said: Our decision to offer discounted rates on diabetes basic tests stems from our strong belief in the importance of promoting heathy living. We want to encourage patients to control blood sugar levels, and also encourage non-patients to prevent this epidemic that affects different aspects of life.

Held on November 14th of every year, the World Diabetes Day aims at raising awareness on Diabetes risks. While the campaigns last the whole year, the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization have chosen that specific day to mark the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, first discovered insulin in 1922, an essential substance in keeping many diabetes patients alive.
