Biolab, the exclusive Biomnis dealer in the Kingdom, recently participated in The Bridge Building Conference hosted by The Danish Jordanian University Cooperation (DJUCO), which tackled the different challenges facing young graduates related to the gap between the educational system and the labor market.

The workshop brought together companies, students, university professors and graduates, and representatives from various NGOs with the objective of defining the challenges for young graduates entering the labor market and developing proposals for viable solutions.

The workshop took the unconventional approach of dividing participants into groups, each addressing a given issue and formulating proposals that were later presented before an evaluation committee comprised of their peers.

Biolab, represented by Administrative Manager Reem El-Saqqa, played a key role in the conference, serving as a member of the evaluation committee and providing constructive commentary on the proposals submitted by the groups. El-Saqqa also gave a detailed overview of the essentials of working in the arena of healthcare and medical testing, leveraging on Biolab’s longstanding experience in the field.

This initiative by Biolab comes as part of a series of participations seeking to support the youth and education sectors, as it consistently strives to contribute to any endeavors seeking to build and expand the knowledge and skills of students and prospective graduates, in the hope of delivering a more capable and pioneering work force. This not only helps students seize better employment opportunities but also works to curb unemployment, thus contributing to long-term socioeconomic stability.

Biolab’s management explained that this participation comes in line with their long-term objective of contributing to sustainable development in the Kingdom by fortifying its involvement in various educational disciplines that help bolster the employability of young graduates and thus establish a more balanced and empowered work force. The management further underscored the importance of such conferences, which push the limits of collaborative research and help create generations of innovators and critical thinkers.

It is worth noting that the Danish Jordanian University Cooperation (Project DJUCO) aims at initiating new ways of academic cooperation between Denmark and Jordan within the field of research and education. The project, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Southern Denmark, also seeks to build bridges between the two educational cultures and encourage wider networking, dialogue and exchange.
