AUD School of Business Administration Obtains AACSB International Accreditation

One of the region’s most distinguished business schools, the School of Business Administration at the American University in Dubai (AUD), has announced that it has been awarded accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
“We congratulate the American in Dubai and Dean Mohammed Abu Ali on earning the AACSB accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB International. “AACSB Accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees. The entire AUD team—including the administration, faculty, directors, staff, and students—are to be commended for their roles in earning accreditation.”
The AACSB International Accreditation is in line with the American University in Dubai’s mission to provide American world-class education to students. The University is committed to serving as a culturally diverse learning community dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge through excellence in teaching, scholarly and creative endeavor, leading students to academic, personal and professional success, as well as the advancement of society.
“AACSB accreditation attests to the attainment of the highest standards of quality by our School of Business, as manifested in the student learning outcomes the school delivers, the innovative, impactful and relevant intellectual contributions of faculty, and the school’s engagement with the professional community. As we celebrate this great accomplishment, we look forward enthusiastically to continuing our quest for excellence in partnership with the AACSB,” said Dr. Mohammed Abu Ali, Dean – School of Business Administration, American University in Dubai.
In order for the School of Business Administration at the American University in Dubai to obtain its recent accreditation, both the institution and business school had to undergo thorough review processes conducted by its peers in the international business education community, ensuring that it had the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education. During this multi-year process, the SBA focused on developing and implementing a plan to align with AACSB’s Accreditation standards. The SBA demonstrated that it met the required excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
“The achievement of AACSB accreditation for AUD’s School of Business is a major milestone in our university’s ongoing strategic management change and continuous improvement process. With this landmark achievement, our School of Business joins less-than-five-percent of the world’s elite business schools that are AACSB-accredited. AUD’s senior administration has been and will remain fully committed to supporting the School of Business in its continuing endeavors to achieve higher
levels of quality and excellence,” said Dr. Jihad S. Nader, Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Development – American University in Dubai.
