AUD launches Journalism Competition for high school students

The Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai (AUD) is organizing a Journalism Competition for high school students in both public and private schools across Dubai, in collaboration with Al Bayan Newspaper and the Dubai Press Club. The competition is in both English and Arabic, and sponsored by Emirate National Bank Dubai and Paris Gallery.
Announcing the scholarship offered to the winner of the competition, to attend MBRSC at AUD, Dean Ali Jaber, added that the aim of the competition was to reveal and award student talent before reaching university. He also thanked the sponsors and urged students to enter the competition with the support and guidance of their teachers.
Participants are invited to submit a 1000-word investigative report article covering a social, cultural or national issue, either in English or in Arabic. Judges will include representatives from the Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication at AUD and Al Bayan Newspaper. Results of the competition will be announced on April 16, 2017, and a ceremony will be held on campus to honor the first 6 winners.
Submission Details
Students are to submit their article by email to [email protected] by March 30, 2017.
The submission must include the student’s name, school name, as well the contact details including their mobile number and email.
