Aspetar Launch 'Healthy Ramadan ' Campaign

For the eleventh year in a row, Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital has announced the launch of a new ‘Healthy Ramadan’ campaign. This year the campaign is called Healthy Ramadan Story and seeks to increase awareness of the importance of adopting an active and healthy lifestyle during the holy month.
The campaign includes messages on the latest findings from Aspetar sports medicine researchers, who have spent several years studying the impact of fasting on athletic performance and overall health.
Throughout Ramadan information on topics around nutrition, physical activity, psychological aspects (sleep and stress), and oral health will be shared mainly via Aspetar’s official social media channels @aspetar. The audience is also invited to submit their questions on Ramadan and these topics on Aspetar social media, and Aspetar experts will then give their answers in dynamic and interactive ways.
The campaign, which runs until the middle of Ramadan, aims to promote physical activity among community members in Qatar, as well as professionals and recreational athletes. However, with Ramadan taking place in the shadow of the pandemic for the second time, COVID-19 and the subsequent restrictions will still be factored in.
COVID-19 challenges and restrictions are still affecting lives and habits, Aspetar takes this situation into consideration alongside the need for hopeful and positive messaging during the holy season in order to support the community fully.
