Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, celebrated a landmark achievement today: its second consecutive Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum International™ program, achieved once again with a perfect score. This unprecedented accomplishment makes Aspetar the first healthcare institution globally to reach this milestone.
Mr. Khalid Al-Mawlawi, Acting Director General of Aspetar, expressed his immense pride in the team's achievement. "Achieving the Diamond Level Accreditation with a perfect score for the second consecutive time, as the first medical institution globally to do so is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” he stated. “It validates our ongoing commitment to providing world-class care to athletes and patients and reinforces our position as a leading institution in sports medicine globally. We are immensely proud of this achievement and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of healthcare excellence.”
The celebration, held at Aspetar’s Warm-up track, brought together key stakeholders, including hospital leadership, staff, dignitaries, a representative from the Embassy of Canada to Qatar and Accreditation Canada. The atmosphere was one of pride and accomplishment, recognizing the hard work and dedication that led to this prestigious recognition.
The program also included remarks from Martin Barratt, the Counsellor Commercial and Senior Trade Commissioner, Embassy of Canada to the State of Qatar, highlighting the significance of this international accreditation and speech for Denise Amyot, Board Member, Accreditation Canada.
Aspetar’s Diamond-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada is particularly noteworthy, as it marks the first time a healthcare organization globally has achieved 100% compliance with all applicable criteria in two successive accreditation cycles.
