ART Rotana sponsors Bahrain-based kite surfer on her attempt to break new world record

ART Rotana Amwaj Islands, the luxury resort located in Amwaj, has proudly pledged their support for avid kite surfer and world record holder, Anke Brandt as she attempts to break her 2014 record come spring this year. ART Rotana will provide the training facilities and facilitate the accommodation needs for Anke and her team as they prepare to take on this new challenge.
In 2014, Bahrain resident Anke Brandt, kite surfed 250km non-stop around the Kingdom in a 12 hour mission that gained her international recognition and secured her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. In spring this year, Anke will attempt to break her previous record by sailing from Bahrain to the UAE in 20 hours or less.

German kite surfer Anke Brandt, born in Munich and raised in Berlin, discovered her passion for kitesurfing in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where she has been living and working in for the past four years. With a passion for sports, Anke has been training hard for the 250km on open seas, working-out for up to 15 hours a week.
