Alpen Capital and Bank Sarasin-Alpen organise Sustainability Week for employees

Alpen Capital along with Bank Sarasin-Alpen celebrated their Sustainability Week from 14 to 18 October across all locations. The week titled “Let’s Go Sustainable!” was designed to encourage employees to adopt a more sustainable approach in their day to day activities and contribute towards a more sustainable future. This is the second year the organisations have put together a week focusing on sustainability initiatives.

The aim of the week was to educate staff on the concept of sustainability and remind them of how small actions can make a difference. The week covered various activities such as mobile recycling and a clothes drive where staff got a chance to donate their quality used clothes. A sustainable transport day was also held to encourage staff to change their travel habits. The week also focused on promoting staff health and well-being and saw the launch of a 55-day weight loss challenge where staff compete against each other as teams and individuals.

Employees across all locations also came together for a tree planting activity in partnership with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) which is a group dedicated to protecting the environment through education, action programs and community involvement. The activity not only contributed towards EEG’s million tree campaign but also helped in spreading awareness among young school children on the importance of planting trees.
