AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Opens Registration for the “Rayaat” Scholarship Program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced the opening of registration for its “Rayaat” Scholarship Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications will be accepted over a ten-day period from March 29 to April 7, 2026.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s steadfast commitment to advancing higher education in Bahrain and empowering national talent to pursue academic excellence at leading institutions.
This year’s program is offering undergraduate scholarships in partnership with University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic, in addition to scholarships under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. These scholarships are available at British University of Bahrain, Ahlia University, Bangor University, and the University of London at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), Euro University of Bahrain, and American University of Bahrain.
The program also includes H.H. Shaikha Moza Bint Hamad Al Khalifa Fund, the Foundation will provide medical scholarships opportunity to RCSI – Bahrain. Those wishing to apply to the private universities mentioned must attach an acceptance letter to the application form.
On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of MKF, expressed her pride in the continued growth and impact of the Rayaat Scholarship Program. She noted that the rising interest among Bahraini youth in pursuing university education reflects a deepening awareness of the transformative power of knowledge in shaping both individual aspirations and national progress. She emphasized that the program’s graduates have demonstrated distinction across a wide range of professional fields, with many assuming roles within prominent public and private sector institutions. Their success, she affirmed, stands as a testament to the program’s rigor and its sustained contribution to cultivating capable, forward-looking leaders for the Kingdom.
Her Highness further expressed her aspiration to expand the Foundation’s partnerships in order to increase the number of beneficiaries and deepen investment in the education sector. She reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to providing students with access to academic as well as developmental opportunities that strengthen their character, broaden their perspective, and enhance their readiness to contribute meaningfully to society. Her Highness also extended her appreciation to the Foundation’s university partners for their continued collaboration, while calling upon institutions and companies to support national educational initiatives and invest in Bahrain’s future generations.
Prospective applicants are invited to complete the registration form through the Foundation’s official website. Selection will be based on academic achievement and performance in a structured assessment process, including excellence in a written examination, successful completion of a personal interview, and demonstration of meaningful accomplishments such as volunteer engagement and community service.
Launched in 2011, the Rayaat Scholarship Program was established to deliver a comprehensive and integrated educational pathway that equips students with the competencies required by a dynamic and evolving labor market. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded 491 scholarships and will welcome its sixteenth cohort of scholars this year.
In addition to facilitating enrollment at accredited universities within Bahrain, the program offers a range of complementary benefits, including financial incentives and diverse training opportunities across both public and private sector institutions. Scholars also gain access to workshops designed to cultivate essential life skills, reinforce self-confidence, and support their transition into academic and professional environments.
