Alef Group Hosts 2nd Edition of 06 Mall Sharjah Chess Championship 2023

Alef Group, the leading real estate and retail company in the Emirate of Sharjah, announces the highly anticipated 2nd edition of 06 Mall Sharjah Chess Championship 2023. The three-day tournament will take place between February 24th to 26th at 06 Mall Sharjah, in collaboration with Sharjah Cultural & Chess Club (SCCC) and the Sharjah International Chess Academy (SICA).

The tournament will see 300 participants from 20 different nationalities playing daily under four categories: Classical Event Under 14, Classical Event Over 14, Rapid Event Group A, and Rapid Event Group B. Participation is open to all players above the age of six. Families of players and visitors to the mall are encouraged to attend the tournament to learn more about the sport and bond over quality time.

Winners of the tournament will receive cash prizes from Alef Group and Sharjah Chess Club based on rank and enjoy special discounts and vouchers from 06 Mall retailers.

Jamal Issa Al Midfa, Secretary General of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club thanked 06 Mall management for hosting the tournament in its 2nd edition and ensuring its success through the provision of excellent facilities.
