Al Hilal Bank all set to proudly raise UAE flag to edge of outer space this Saturday in support of ‘Raise your voice, raise your flag’ Campaign

Al Hilal Bank, the progressive Islamic bank, is all set to raise a huge 8-by-4-foot UAE flag high above the atmosphere this Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Abu Dhabi’s legendary Liwa Desert to wrap up its unique ‘Raise your voice, raise your flag’ campaign, marking the 43rd UAE National Day.
JP Aerospace, an independent US-based space program, was commissioned to develop the special helium balloon that will lift the UAE flag to the edge of space. The height will depend on the number of voices and hashtags collected via social media and fixed booths along with a dedicated microsite, www.itsallabout.ae, where total contributions so far can be seen. Emiratis and expatriates alike can still visit the site where they will be instructed on how they can recite and record the national anthem in support of the campaign.
Al Hilal is especially calling on the country’s energetic and promising youths to lend their voices to this meaningful cause and participate via social media by sharing the hashtag #itsallaboutUAE to help achieve the target altitude of 90,000 feet.
“A patriotic project of this kind has never been done before in the Middle East. We urge the public, especially the youths representing the country’s bright future, to visit our microsite and express their great pride for the UAE and their joy in being part of its rich history and prosperity. We will be one with the nation in lifting up our dreams and ambitions as the UAE flag proudly streaks across the sky come December 13,” said Mohamed Jamil Berro, Group CEO, Al Hilal Bank.
