Swiss Re delegation meets with Al Habtoor Group Executives

A delegation from Swiss Re visited Al Habtoor Group on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 and met the senior executives of Al Habtoor Group for an introductory meeting. The Swiss Re top management included Jean-Jacques Henchoz, Chief Executive Officer Reinsurance EMEA; Frank O’Neil, Managing Director and Olivier Steger, Client Manager for United Arab Emirates. The delegation was introduced to the Al Habtoor Group by Morten Holm, General Manager, Dubai National Insurance & Reinsurance and Ramez Abou Zaid, Deputy General Manager.  Present from the Al Habtoor Group were Maan Halabi, Executive Director and KP Rajan, Group Financial Advisor.

Henchoz, who is also Regional President EMEA of Swiss Re, assumed the leadership of the Europe Division in March 2011 and also became a member of the Group Management Board. He joined Swiss Re in 1998, working in the Europe Division in Zurich and assumed several positions in Underwriting.

The introductory meeting with the Al Habtoor Group was aimed at Swiss Re gaining an understanding of the conglomerate’s needs.

Maan Halabi said, “It was a good opportunity to meet the delegates from Swiss Re and get a broader view of the European insurance market and assess what suits our needs. Swiss Re is a prominent player in the field of reinsurance and insurance. They provided us with some very insightful information.”
