The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation initiative to get the public involved

Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Founder of the recently launched ‘Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation’ and Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group calls on the general public to do their part in helping those in need.  Al Habtoor has called on the general public in the United Arab Emirates to come up with ideas to help those less fortunate than themselves. The best three initiatives will be put into operation under the leadership of the Foundation and bear the name of the person who came up with the idea.

Al Habtoor says there is so much need in the world and wants his Foundation to a catalyst for change. 

“The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation is not just about donating money, it is about getting involved and getting the general community involved. You can’t put monetary value on that.”

He added, “I want to work with the general public; that way we can have a sense of achievement together. Initiatives like this not only help alleviate suffering but also bring communities together.”

The Foundation groups together all the philanthropic work Al Habtoor has done in the past with his current initiatives. Its’  ultimate aim is to improve the wealth and health of many people and focus on developing and improving human societies in need in the UAE.

The charity also aims at providing relief and assistance to communities around the world affected by natural disasters and social calamities and meeting the needs of orphans and improving their welfare. 

Much of its focus is to help improve education and scientific research with the establishment of scientific and research chairs named after the Founder within and outside the UAE. Al Habtoor has also set a goal to promote inter-religious and inter-cultural communication – something that is very dear to his heart. 

The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation is located at the Al Farooq Omar Ibn Khattab Mosque and Center in Dubai which the Al Habtoor Group Chairman built and donated to his country a few years ago.
