Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor congratulates Ambassadors of the Al Habtoor Group for receiving external recognition

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group, personally congratulated senior executives from the Al Habtoor Group who were recently awarded by external bodies for excellence in their respective professions in the United Arab Emirates.

Al Habtoor praised Sanjeev Agarwala, Director Strategy & Business Development for receiving an ‘Excellence Award’ for his contribution to the hospitality industry in the UAE from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Dubai and Confident Group. Agarwala, who has worked at the Al Habtoor Group since 1997, received the award at a ceremony at Al Nasr Leisureland in Dubai on May 31.

The ICAI and Confident Group identified certain sectors of the business that are vital to the economy of UAE and the role and contribution individuals have made to the UAE and the Chartered Accountant profession. The ICAI, which was set up under an Act of Parliament by the Union of India in 1949, promotes the Indian Chartered Accountancy Profession as the valued trustee of world class financial competencies, good governance and competitiveness.

Earlier last month, Paul Rayner, Advisor to the Chairman and Karl Hamer, Managing Director, Al Habtoor Motors ranked among the 50 most influential Brits in the UAE by Arabian Business magazine. Rayner, who ranked 17th, and Hamer, who ranked 26th, were awarded at a ceremony at the JW Marriot Marquis Hotel on May 21.

Al Habtoor said, “I would like to congratulate Sanjeev Agarwala, Paul Rayner and Karl Hamer on receiving recognition from external bodies. It is good to see our employees being recognised by global institutions at such prominent events. They have each individually contributed a service to the UAE. They deserve their awards.”

To celebrate the awards, Al Habtoor invited senior Al Habtoor Group executives to congratulate the three awardees at the Al Habtoor Group head office on Monday, June 10. He was joined by Ahmed Al Habtoor, CEO, Al Habtoor Motors.
