Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel apartment among visiting tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, recently organized a presentation on “No Smoking” to support the initiatives of Dubai Municipality’s Department of Public Health and Safety and spreading awareness regarding the dangers of cigarette smoking.

Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer, Al Bustan Centre and Residence said:  “We are thankful to Dubai Municipality officials for their valuable contribution towards “no smoking” campaign. Al Bustan Centre and Residence has always supported the initiative of Dubai Municipality by conducting awareness programs placing “No Smoking Signages” at various places and warnings to the erring persons from time to time. We firmly believe in providing the quality indoor air to all our guests, residents, Mall tenants, visitors and shoppers.

The presentation was held under the property’s Responsible Awareness Program (RAP).  Hotel staff and mall tenant’s representatives were invited to participate in the presentation conducted by officials from the Dubai Municipality’s Department of Public Health and Safety headed by Engr. Saif and Mr. Abdul Nasser, Health and Safety Officer. Dubai Municipality explained the importance of the initiative to stop cigarette consumption by the residents of Dubai in offices and public areas and the necessary action plans which will be implemented in the near future.

During the presentation, the Dubai Municipality handed out t-shirts, stickers and brochures on cigarette smoking and how it affects different organs of the human being.  Information about providing treatments to smokers was also distributed.
