Al Babtain Organized the 2017 Nissan Aftersales Skills Contest

Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al Babtain Co., the sole authorized agent of Nissan in the State of Kuwait, held the Nissan Aftersales Skills Contests to select the top technician, service advisor and parts executive who will represent Kuwait at the Regional Contests in Dubai.
An elaborate event was organized at the Nissan Patrol Service Centre, Al Rai; to test the skills of the Nissan Service Advisors; Service Technicians and Parts Executives in three different categories: Nissan Service Advisor Excellence Competency Award (NISAC); Nissan Service Technician Excellence Competency Award (NISTEC) and Nissan Parts Executive Excellence Competency Award (NIPEC). More than 300 attendees including Al-Babtain Group top management, senior managers and staff were present to witness and motivate the contestants, along with representatives from business partners like TOTAL Lubricants & Standox Paint as well as Nissan Gulf and Middle East representatives.
“Challenge yourself” was the theme of this year’s aftersales contest. The final contest held on 6th October was a culmination of written test round, practical and role play sessions held over a month.
Al Babtain CEO – Mr. Saleh Al Babtain commented on the event: “Aftersales Operations is crucial to ensuring customer loyalty and customer retention. The contests provide an opportunity to develop the skills of the Aftersales team and motivate them to achieve more. Mr. Mohammed Shalaby, Chief Operations Officer of Al-Babtain Group addressed the participants “At Al-Babtain, our quest for customer excellence means that we are constantly pushing the bar to get even better at what we do. This requires a strong commitment to consistent operational standards and practices as well as developing the skills of our workforce. The annual national skills contests aim to emphasize the importance of adherence to Nissan’s service standards in day to day operations and also provides a venue to showcase the value of skills and raising the recognition of our Aftersales team. Last year, our contestants gave a stellar performance in the regional level contests reinforcing the significance of consistent professional training and development of staff. Our people continue to be our greatest strength and investment and I hope that with persistence and hard work, the success will be repeated this year.”

All volunteers, judges, role play customers, organizers, operation and support staff who contributed to the event’s success were appreciated in recognition of their efforts.
Top three winners from each category were selected and awarded certificates, trophies and prizes by AABC top management. Gold medal winners for the Year 2017 who will represent Kuwait at the regional contests are: Mr. Sandeep K.L. (NISAC); Mr. Savad M. (NISTEC) and Mr. Shaik Mokhadder Moulana (NIPEC). Silver medals were given to Mr. Mohd. Ghouse (NISAC); Mr. Aneesh Antony (NISTEC) and Mr. Akhil Thykkoth (NIPEC) and the bronze medals to Ms. Maha Ali (NISAC); Mr. Kiran Swaminathan (NISTEC); and Mr. Ranju K.R. (NIPEC).
