Akhtaboot becomes a “Smoke-Free Zone”

Akhtaboot - the career network took part in the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) "Smoke-Free Zone Certificate” ceremony, which recognizes the efforts of institutions that commit to prohibiting smoking within their facilities.

The ceremony was organized by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, under the Patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF). The ceremony was held on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at the Le Royal Hotel Amman, and was attended by HRH Princess Dina Mired, Director General of KHCF and Dr. Asem Mansour, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Center, in addition to a number of company representatives, journalists and officials from anti-smoking associations.

The ceremony aims to raise awareness and encourage people to quit smoking in companies, restaurants, shopping malls, hospitals and schools to provide a healthy environment while protecting the well-being of the general public.

Akhtaboot’s Country Manager in Jordan, Mr. Ashraf Mraybeh said: "We are delighted and proud to receive the “Smoke-Free Zone” Certificate by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. This certificate reinforces our commitment to eliminate smoking within our facilities to protect our employees from the risks of smoking and to raise awareness of the dangers of second-hand smoking as well."
