ADAC concludes its summer training programme for UAE national students
Abu Dhabi Airports Company ADAC concluded this week its Student Ambassador Programme at Abu Dhabi International Airport for UAE National students. The programme, which ran between 18 June -26 July, saw participation from 73 Emirati students from different schools and universities across the UAE.
ADAC’s annual Student Ambassador Summer Programme aims at promoting awareness among Emirati youth about the aviation industry and ultimately supports the growing need for human capital in this market. The internship programme begins with an orientation session held at ADAC’s Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies GCAS to theoretically explain the scope of operations at the airport and within its environment. It then moves on to practical learning about key functions such as customer services, cargo and marketing.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Sultan Khalfan Al Mansouri, Head of Recruitment, Emiratisation & Talent Management, said: “ADAC developed this summer training programme for National students in line with the national strategy of creating a new generation capable of maintaining the growth and development our nation is currently witnessing. We are delighted for the success of this summer programme at Abu Dhabi International Airport and wish students all the best in their future careers.”
