Abu Dhabi University to Enrich Campus Life for a Holistic Learning Experience

Multicultural festivals, student club fairs, intercollegiate sports tournaments, donation drives, humanitarian campaigns and field trips are all vital elements that contribute to the making of Abu Dhabi University’s unique and vibrant campus life. With around 7,650 students representing more than 70 nationalities joining ADU this academic year, the University's Student Affairs Department has developed a new comprehensive student engagement strategy to enhance different aspects of campus life, and ensure that students graduate into well-rounded individuals who help transform their communities and the world.
Rachel Baldwin, Abu Dhabi University’s Director of Student Affairs explains that a university student's campus life goes beyond mere learning in classrooms and lecture halls. "The university experience is a huge transition for most young adults that takes them from the security and dependable routine of high school life to the ever-changing self-reliant nature of university life. At ADU, we understand that an engaging campus life advances student development academically, socially, and culturally. Pro-active students who are regularly involved in extracurricular activities tend to gain more knowledge and experience that enhances their leadership, problem-solving, public speaking and communication skills. As part of our new strategy, we've developed a rich calendar of events that allows us to offer our students a holistic learning experience." added Baldwin.
She pointed out that in addition to the annual student favorites Global Day and ADU's Got Talent, the campus life calendar will include leadership development training workshops, community service campaigns and volunteerism activities.
