‘AD Ports & Stakeholders’ Football Tournament 2016

Championing the true spirit of football, Abu Dhabi Ports organised the ‘AD Ports & Stakeholders’ Football Tournament 2016’, playing a thrilling game for two weeks in the lead-up to the finals against Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA).

Football matches took place in Zayed Port and included participants from across the emirate, including Abu Dhabi Customs, Abu Dhabi Terminals, Abu Dhabi Airports, Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority, The General Directorate of Civil Defense Abu Dhabi, The General Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority.

The tournament was divided into the two groups. Abu Dhabi Ports triumphed in the first group, while CICPA topped the second group. After winning over Abu Dhabi Customs and Civil Defense in the semi-finals, the two teams played against each other in the final game. CICPA won the game in style and the Civil Defense came third.

Abu Dhabi Ports’ initiative illustrates its keen passion towards sports in the UAE and celebrates close ties with other government entities.
