Abu Dhabi Ports celebrates ‘Day of the Seafarer’ with a 1000-strong gathering

: Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer, operator and manager of ports and industrial zones in Abu Dhabi, celebrated the global ‘Day of the Seafarer’ with as many as 1000 seafarers. The day is observed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on 25th June every year to raise awareness of the vital role played by seafarers. Gifts were distributed by Abu Dhabi Ports employees to mark the day.

The gift parcels, which contained commemorative items, were distributed at all ports. These were also specially hand-wrapped by Abu Dhabi Ports employees.

With a focus on building human capital, Abu Dhabi Ports has developed several avenues to further maritime education. The Abu Dhabi Ports' Training and Career Development Department offers a variety of internationally accredited in-house professional certification courses in ports operation and management. The Maritime Training Center in Musaffah offers world class, internationally accredited courses.
