Abu Dhabi Municipality Detects 269 Eyesores in Musaffah Industrial

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Musaffah Center has carried out inspection campaigns on roads and public facilities in Musaffah Industrial Area as part of endeavours to maintain the civilised appearance of the city. The move included carrying out maintenance operations, and ensuring the continuous improvement of the infrastructure.

During the campaign, the Municipality detected 269 eyesores covering fire extinguisher nozzles, lighting poles, pavements, directional traffic signs, asphalt & road markings, and stormwater drainage covers. Such efforts are part of inspections tours covering Musaffah Industrial with the aim of assessing the needs of the area and carrying out general maintenance works of various facilities to ensure the place is well turned out.

This campaign is part of a series of campaigns targeting all parts of Abu Dhabi city to detect violations. It is also part of the Municipality’s endeavours in following up violations, road conditions and public facilities and ensure they are permanently capable of meeting the needs of the public who are the key partner of the Municipality in detecting these practices marring the public appearance. The continuous monitoring and crackdown on these eyesores will maintain the civilised appearance of the capital city, improve the infrastructure and services, and improve the quality of living.

In the meantime, the Municipality calls on community members to contribute to the Municipality’s efforts towards protecting public facilities from negative practices, and report any faults or places in need of maintenance, be it roads, lighting poles, public facilities, parks, … etc.
