Abu Dhabi International Airport Celebrates Pakistan and India’s Independence Days

The arrival and baggage claim halls at Abu Dhabi International Airport were decked out in green, white and saffron, the colors of the Pakistan and India flags to commemorate the Independence Days of the two neighboring countries on the 14th and 15th of August respectively.

The festivities included the distribution of sweets and flags as surprised passengers from the two countries joined in the celebrations. India and Pakistan are amongst the top travel destinations from the Capital’s airport. In 2017 these destinations generated collectively around 23% of the airport’s annual passenger traffic.
