Abu Dhabi Airports Company Announces Ground Breaking of Premier Inn Hotel at Abu Dhabi International Airport

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), and Premier Inn, the UK’s most popular hotel brand and the pioneering value for money hotel operator, mutually announced today the groundbreaking of a Premier Inn Hotel at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The announcement follows an agreement that was signed last year between ADAC and Premier Inn as part of ADAC’s initiative to promote Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects within the Emirate.

Scheduled to open its doors by mid March 2013 at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Premier Inn Hotel is the fifth in the UAE and is located opposite Terminal 3. The 300 room hotel will offer quality lodgings at a value for money proposition to the business/ transit traveller flying from or to the airport.

Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, Chief Financial Officer of ADAC said: “The Premier Inn Hotel at Abu Dhabi International Airport is thoughtfully designed to reflect the individuality, authenticity, and unique attributes of its location, that appeals to travelers using the airport and nearby residents. The hotel will allow ADAC to offer yet another set of convenient products, to its airport customers from travelers and airlines, providing quality services for their comfort and convenience at very reasonable prices, which Premier Inn is known for worldwide.”

The hotel will be conveniently linked to Terminals 1 and 3 by a retail corridor, which will include various shopping outlets, lounges, restaurants and convenient stores to enhance the passenger shopping experience whilst travelling from the Capital’s airport. The Premier Inn hotel will extend a variety of service offerings and amenities such as a contemporary restaurant, Costa Coffee shop, Cocktail Bar, meeting rooms, swimming pool with whirlpool spa and a gymnasium in addition to free internet access in all rooms and throughout the hotel.  

At an estimated total cost of AED 120 Million, Premier Inn at Abu Dhabi International Airport is designed by Dewan Architects & Engineers, offering an expression of a comfortable, friendly and practical hotel within a unique structural design.

The 3 star hotel has also been designed according to Premier Inn’s Hotel Vision in offering environmentally friendly developments; achieving the Estidama Pearl 2 rating as per the requirements of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
