Enjoy travelling with 50% off data and incoming calls with Roaming Summer offer from du

Making sure its customers stay connected while enjoying their stay abroad, du has launched the new Roaming Summer offer, with 50% reduced rates! Customers with a postpaid mobile plan from du can enjoy half the charges on data usage and calls received, while travelling in 36 top destinations around the world, and on all networks in the offered countries. 

“Everyone wants to keep in touch with their loved ones and friends back home when they’re travelling, to share those special holiday moments or to keep in touch with the latest developments they may be missing out on. With our  Roaming Summer offer, we’re giving our customers even more reasons to stay connected to the people that matter to them, while they enjoy their time abroad without having to worry about excessive roaming charges,” said Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du. 

Customers with the  Summer Roaming offer will enjoy data usage at rates of 50fils/50KB instead of the ‘One World, One Rate’ charges of AED1/50KB, while incoming calls will be charged at just 62.5fils/minute instead of the ‘One World, One Rate’ tariff of AED1.25/minute. 

To avail of this exciting offer, post paid customers need to first have the roaming service activated on their lines. They can do so by visiting their nearest du Shop. 

Once roaming is activated, customers can opt in to the Summer Roaming offer by simply sending an SMS with the keyword ‘Roam50’ to 9975, free of charge while in the UAE. The offer can be activated even while outside of the UAE, however standard SMS roaming rate will be charged. 

The Summer Roaming offer is valid until 30 September, 2012, and is applicable in 36 global destinations - Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.
