Over 120 residents and trainees from Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia recently attended a four-day Internal Medicine Board Review Course run by the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in preparation for their Internal Medicine Arab Board or equivalent examinations.

The course provided delegates with an updated and concise review of different topics in Internal Medicine along with test taking strategies and mock exams composed of multiple choice questions.

Recognized experts in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the U.K. attended and focused on the common Arab Board exam topics of the whole spectrum of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Abdel-Naser Elzouki, Senior Consultant of Internal Medicine at HMC and Course Director for the review course said the four days were ideal preparation for residents and trainees. “After completing this intensive course, which covered all aspects of Internal Medicine, the delegates are in a much stronger position of understanding what is required for their board exams. I was delighted to see such a large number of residents attend and I wish them every success.”
