‘Eid in Dubai’ brings children’s favourite cartoon heroes to Mirdif City Centre; non-stop Eid celebrations for the entire family

As part of ‘Eid in Dubai’ celebrations marking Eid Al Adha, Mirdif City Centre is bringing an international line-up of children’s most-loved cartoon characters– Marvel Superheroes, Erik & Lovelace, the famed penguins from Happy Feet Two and a curious Explorer named Dora. From November 4-10th, Mirdif City Centre will be buzzing with larger-than-life sing along, dance and live-action performances with first-ever guests appearances from the cartoon world. As the weather paves the way for outdoor dining season, families and friends can continue the celebrations with no less than 75 international places to enjoy an Eid meal.   

As a 2011 Festivals and Events Strategic Partner of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, Mirdif City Centre will host the signature event during ‘Eid in Dubai’ featuring famous superheroes from Marvel Comics with Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Green Goblin, The Hulk and Thor in live-action shows. Taking place in the Central Galleria, daily from November 7-10th at 5:00, 6:30 and 7:30pm, children can watch their favourite cartoon heroes as they use their superhuman powers for the good of the world. 

The Oasis Walk area will also come alive with the talented penguins Erik & Lovelace of Happy Feet Two, the popular animated movie series, as they perform live Dance & Sing Along shows. From November 6-8th between 6:00 – 10:00pm daily, children can sing, dance and meet Erik & Lovelace bringing the fun, loveable penguins from the silver screen to the Mirdif City Centre stage. After the shows, families can conveniently continue their day enjoying the dining ambience of the Oasis Walk restaurants to enjoy a traditionally Arabic Eid meal, or a range of global cuisines. 

Hamleys toy store will also offer kids the chance to meet famed cartoon heroine and adventurer, Dora the Explorer for two days on November 4-5 between 4:00-9:00pm for a special Meet & Greet. This is an exclusive event and is for all shoppers who purchase a Dora product between the promotional period of October 27th-November 5^th.
