Some buildings are in danger of collapsing in Bahrain's inner-city areas, indicated a United Nations team. According to the GDN, the consultants have carried out a comprehensive study of Bahrain's inner city areas in Manama and Muharraq, as part of a scheme to revive run-down urban areas.
Some buildings are in danger of collapsing and residents are deserting the "neglected" areas, said UN Development Programme resident representative and UN resident co-ordinator Dr Khalid Alloush.
The revival plan will be presented to the government early next year.
