According to the company, TikTok will be rebuilt using a completely new algorithm designed to ensure independence and privacy.
Perplexity plans to completely rebuild and revamp TikTok’s algorithm within US data centers to ensure transparency. They aim to release an open-source version for developers to explore, enhance the AI infrastructure using Nvidia Dynamo technology to improve data analysis and content delivery efficiency, and add a source citation feature to videos—similar to the one available on their own platform.
