The Orbit Satellite Television and Radio Network, a digital satellite Pay TV platform operation in the Middle East and North Africa, added the English language movie channel Turner Classic Movies (TCM) to its program bouquet and the Cartoon Network, commencing May 23, 2002.

Orbit also launched a new offer, dubbed Mega 5, under which subscribers get a free dish and LNB, free decoder, free installation, plus they save 25 percent on the subscription, for 825 Emirati dirhams ($225) for five-month subscription to Orbit Mega bouquet.

Orbit is wholly owned by the Mawarid Group of Saudi Arabia. In total, Orbit viewers are offered seven movie channels; two sports channels, seven entertainment channels, five news channels, three children’s channels, two documentary channels and 21 TV and radio music channels—more than 30,000 hours of programs every month. — (menareport.com)
