Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. (“OTH”) has announced its subscriber base exceeded the 30 million benchmark on December 31, 2005. OTH recorded over 30 million total subscribers on its networks operating in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. This is a 107% increase over the same period last year. This growth is fuelled by the company’s aggressive strategy to capture the lion’s share of subscriber growth and to capitalize on its leadership position.
