Omani exports up

A recently issued report by the Global Investment House shows that the exports of the Sultanate of Oman totaled OR 7.2 billion in 2005, a 40% rise compared with the previous year. The report attributed this exports climb to increasing per barrel oil price from $34.4 to $50.2 in the same period.


Meanwhile, the volume of the Sultanate of Oman's oil exports in terms of amount declined to 262 million barrels in 2005, down from 263 million barrels in 2004, 278 million barrels in 2003 and 306 million barrels in 2002.

 

The natural gas exports of the Sultanate of Oman grew to OR 888 million in 2005, a 43% rise compared with the previous year.
