(MEBG) – The Hengam oil-field, which straddles the border between Iran and Oman, is “target” for joint oil exploration between the two countries, said Oman's Oil and Gas Minister Mohammad bin Al-Ramei in an interview with the Iran Daily, which was published on July 23.

A section of the Hengam oilfield, located 12 km off Oman's coast in Hormuz

Strait, stretches into Iranian territory. The total volume of the field's reserves is estimated to be about 1,800

billion cubic feet, which includes 400 million barrels of oil.
