According to Al-Khaleej newspaper (October 10, 2005), an official report estimates at OR 33.475 million the total real estate exchanges in the Sultanate of Oman through last August. This total real estate exchanges volume included OR 16.913 million real estate sale transactions, OR 3.226 million offset transactions and OR 13.336 million mortgage transactions. The report also reveals that 5,970 plots were registered for the first time in the same month.
It also conveys that 120 Gulf investors owned real estate assets in the Sultanate in the same month.
