To support the increase in conference bookings and interest in Knowledge Oasis Muscat’s e-Games Conference, 2 – 3 May, Muscat Inter-Continental Hotel, the Technology Park’s Marketing Team has launched a new bespoke Conference website – www.egames-online.com
The new conference website allows potential attendees to view the event’s programme, speaker profiles, accommodation, press releases, interviews with e-Games speakers and corporate profiles on those backing the two-day event.
Says KOM’s Marketing Manager, Hisham Al Zubaidi: “we had a fantastic response to the bespoke website we built for the Gulf Enterprise Meet held last September, so building a site for e-Games was a natural progression. We’re focusing a large part of our marketing efforts on conferences and special events sector this year to help promote KOM. We’ve also recently launched PEIE Mirror, a corporate in-house publication. In addition to that, we’re been heavily involved with OEPNPA and the Information Technology Technical Secretariat at the Ministry of National Economy in piecing together Digital Oman, the new quarterly, bilingual ICT magazine that’s to be launched in the next few weeks.”
KOM is working with Mohammed Al Rasbi of R&D, an online marketing specialist based in the Knowledge Mine – the business incubator programnme based at KOM - to help drive more traffic to the e-Games website. This is being done in three ways:
1. Search engine marketing – ensuring that anybody who searches for issues or events related to the gaming industry in the Gulf sees details about KOM as part of their search.
2. Partner marketing – arranging for e-Games to be listed with our partners, domestic and international, for example, this includes: Albawaba.com, The Oman Daily Observer and Oman, Oman Economic Review, Tiga and Sun Technologies.
3. E-mail marketing and newsletter options to ensure that KOM and e-Games maintains its current and future clients updated with news. “In fact, we’ve recently launched Reboot, a weekly e-zine that looks at gaming issues,” commented Al Zubaidi.
Says KOM’s Director, Mohammed Al Ghassani: “The new e-Games website is proving to be an invaluable tool for the team and will also enable us to guide potential attendees. We’re already seeing very positive results and are confident that attendees will find it extremely useful and informative.”
